Ready to feel restored, inspired, and connected?

Join us for Swamp Camp for Grown Folks, a creative weekend at Lee Tartt Nature Preserve and Grenada Lake, where adults are invited to slow down, explore wild places, and reconnect through hands-on creative and nature-based experiences.

Led by professional Mississippi artists and experienced naturalists, campers will take part in small-group activities and guided adventures designed for all skill levels. No prior art or outdoor experience is needed—just a willingness to try, notice, and play.

Limited to 12 adults, ages 21+

Accommodations will be at Hugh White State Park and include meals. Participants will be assigned a cabin; each cabin accommodates 3 people, each with their own bed, and includes a 2 shared bathrooms, kitchen, and living room with a fireplace. The cabins are perched on a bluff, surrounded by mature forest and overlooking Grenada Lake, with beach access covered in driftwood, feathers and cool rocks.

What to expect:

  • Foraging for rocks, sticks and other cool stuff

  • Arts and crafts with natural materials

  • Examining nature with microscopes and loupes

  • Good food & spirits (BYOB)

  • Sleep lakeside at Hugh White State Park

  • Exploring Chakchiuma Swamp and Grenada Lake

  • Wandering, paddling, and relaxing

All activities are designed for any skill level. No prior experience is required. Creative play, observation, and participation are more important than results.
